On commercial, cemetery, and undeveloped land – yes. Under Subchapter 5.06 of the town code:
- Any tree with a 12 inch trunk (or multi-stem clusters totaling 40 inches, measured 4 feet above grade) requires a permit
- Removing more than 5 trees, or any tree visible from a main public road, can trigger a revegetation plan
- Developed residential lots are exempt – homeowners generally do not need town permits
